No paid competition is currently open. This page explains the rules required for future friend pools, tournaments and skill events. It is not an invitation to enter, a list of eligible states or a promise of an award. Actual event rules will be available here or linked from the official entry screen before registration opens.
What every event must tell you
- The event name, operator, version, opening/closing times and time zone.
- Age, physical-location and any residence requirements, and the exact eligible jurisdictions.
- The number of entrants, entry deadline, start conditions and whether play is live or asynchronous.
- The course, holes, equipment, conditions, permitted aids, number of attempts, penalties and scoring precision.
- The total entry price, prize contribution, organizer fee, prize source and complete award schedule.
- How ties, disconnects, unfinished play, technical failures, cancellations and disqualifications are handled.
- Who collects, holds and pays money; applicable provider terms and payment/refund estimates.
- How results are posted and reviewed, when a protest may be submitted, and how appeals and payouts work.
Each event freezes its rules and prize economics before play. A host cannot change them through an informal message. New entries and rematches require fresh acceptance. The Paid Competition Terms supply the general refund, validation, appeal and payout procedures.
Paid friend pools
Two verified eligible humans play the same live scored golf match. Both must qualify and complete the official entry before a valid start. No ghost opponent, substitute player or spectator wager is included.
An illustration only: two $5 entries could each comprise a $4.50 prize contribution and $0.50 organizer fee. The $10 collected would fund a $9 award and $1 combined organizer fee. A valid tied match could split the $9 award into $4.50 each while the disclosed fee remains earned. A technical void would return each full $5. An actual event must publish its own amounts and tie procedure before entry.
Friendship does not change these into informal payments between users. A private invite or free match does not create an entrant-funded pool.
Paid tournaments
A tournament publishes its entrant count and full prize allocation, including contingencies for unfilled fields and fewer eligible finishers. Rankings reflect the accepted objective scoring method. Shared rank positions can divide the combined cash awards for those positions; any rounding treatment must be disclosed. Random drawings, earlier signup time or higher spending do not break a competitive tie.
A live multi-player tournament and an asynchronous leaderboard are distinct formats and may have different eligibility. No jurisdiction list is automatically shared across formats.
Closest-to-pin skill events
An event states the number of official shots, tee/lie, pin, equipment and conditions. It measures the ball's final resting distance under the published precision and specifies how hazards, invalid shots and incomplete attempt sets count.
A possible format gives every entrant three official shots and ranks shortest distance, then second-shortest, then third-shortest, followed by a disclosed prize split for identical results. This is an example, not an active contest. Everyone receives the same permitted attempt allowance and practice opportunity. Paid retries and paid competitive advantages are excluded from the initial framework.
Independent and free sponsor prizes
An entrant-funded pool, a paid contest with genuinely independent prizes and a free sponsor event use separate rules. A sponsor top-up or a guaranteed entrant-funded pot does not make the prize independent.
A genuinely free event cannot require a purchase, deposit, subscription, paid retry, paid advantage, prize-claim fee or advertising engagement. Marketing choices remain optional. Its rules identify the committed prize, sponsor, responsible prize obligor and fulfilment arrangements. Merchandise rules state the item, value, shipping coverage and tie treatment; they cannot silently replace goods with cash or gift cards.
Referral-earned competitive attempts are not part of the baseline equal-attempt format. Any such event would require its own rules and eligibility review before it could open.
Results and player rights
An available paid event must give you a receipt and retrievable rules, explain its results notice, and provide the review and appeal process in the Paid Competition Terms. Heckler's technical failure leading to a void returns the full entry price, including the organizer fee. A software error is investigated; it does not become unchallengeable simply because a server recorded it.
Apple and other platforms are not sponsors or administrators of Heckler competitions unless an event truthfully identifies an actual arrangement. A photo, testimonial or promotional endorsement requires separate permission beyond ordinary display of the event results identified before entry.
